The various parts of the work necessary to complete a window frame in a building may be put down as follows:

Thus we see that plain window frames complete in a building, may be estimated at $2.66 each. It should be remembered that a fine hardwood finish is often worth twice or three times as much as a common soft wood finish, and that large transom frames, twin windows, etc, finished in hardwood may be worth as high as $20.
