The accompanying sketch illustrates an easy method of making the framework of a table. The front and back are cut out with the ends shown, in one piece. The ends are mortised into the back and front, and the legs, which should be about 2 in. square, are halved at the top and glued to the sides, with two or three screws put in from inside the frame. After the legs are fixed, the blocks are glued in the corners.
