Dot-And-Scallop Stitch. This combination of stitches is the best for ornamental edges of material, and is suitable as a pretty finish for children's embroidered costumes, as well as articles for household adornment. The scallop may be either buttonholed or worked in close Satin stitch over a cord to keep in the raw edges.
