Question 83.- Many of the leading commercial houses of Canada in making drafts on their customers draw them to read for example, "On April 1st after date," without any year being specified. Should there be any objection to this?
Answer. - This phrasing usually occurs through filling up draft forms printed "........after date." "On April 1st,
1919," perhaps reads more smoothly, but if the date appears at the head of the draft there would seem to be no doubt of the meaning of "On April 1st after date."
