Amaryllidaceae. - Herbaceous plants, bulbous; leaves narrow; flowers regular, bisexual; perianth superior, 6-partite, petaloid; stamens 6, distinct on base of perianth-tube; with corona sometimes; anthers introrse; ovary globose, 3-celled; ovules many; placentae axile; fruit a capsule, 3-valved.
