C. majus: stems erect, slender, branching, 1-2 feet high, full of a yellow fetid juice; leaves thin, glaucous underneath, once or twice pinnate, the segments ovate, coarsely toothed or lobed; flowers small, yellow, in a loose umbel; pod nearly cylindrical, glabrous, 1 1/2-2 inches long. - Roadsides and waste places.
