C. arvensis: stems twining or prostrate, about two feet long; leaves stalked, ovate-sagittate, with pointed basal lobes; peduncles axillary, usually two-flowered, the corolla delicate pink, or nearly white, an inch or more in diameter, handsome. - Fields and pastures; a troublesome weed, but withal one of the most beautiful of our wild plants, and varying considerably in the colour of its flowers.
