L. incurvatus: annual; stems decumbent, branched at the base, the flowering-stems curved upwards or erect, 3-9 inches high; leaves short, fine, the uppermost close under the flowers; spike 2-4 inches long, usually curved, the spikelets imbedded in the axis, which breaks off readily at every notch. - Sea Hard-grass. - Salt-marshes and maritime sands.
