Bursa-pastoris: annual; root-leaves spreading, pinna-tifid; stem 1/4-1 foot high, rather rough, with a few oblong or lanceolate, entire or toothed, clasping leaves, having projecting auricles; pods in a long, loose raceme, triangular, truncate at the top, with the angles slightly rounded. - Shepherd's Purse. - A common weed.
