Family, Saxifrage. Color, yellowish or white. Calyx, small, 4 to 5-parted. Corolla, sometimes wanting, when present, of 4 to 5 petals. Flowers, pistillate and staminate in different flowers, in racemes or large compound panicles. Leaves, twice or thrice compound. Leaflets, thin, heart-shaped, lobed, toothed.

A coarse plant, 4 or 5 feet high, found in woods along the mountains of the Southern States.
