Whorled Loosestrife: Crosswort. Lysimachia quadrifolia.

Primrose Family. June - Aug.

A slender plant 1 - 3 feet tall, found in open woods, moist, sandy soil. New Brunswick to Georgia, west to Illinois and Minnesota.

Flowers

Yellow, dotted around the center or faintly streaked with red, borne on slender stems springing from the leaf angles.

Leaves

In whorls of 3-7, usually 4.
