An intelligent daily report, kept with neatness and accuracy, is of the utmost importance in nursing, and most helpful to the doctor in attendance. No details should be overlooked or entrusted only to the memory of tea. The hands and face should be washed before breakfast, but washing proper is best postponed till after breakfast, as at that time the patient is able to stand the moving about better than later in the day. The bed, moreover, can be changed, and the room put in order before the doctor arrives.
