Queen Soup

1 tablespoon Robinson's bar-ley, dissolved in a little cold milk

1/2 cup chicken or veal stock 1/2 cup cream Pinch celery salt

Serve with whipped cream.

Corn Soup

2 tablespoons canned corn 1 cup half milk and cream 1 small shred of cod fish

1 stalk celery A little onion

Simmer a few minutes; add the yolk of an egg before taking from fire. Serve with whipped cream.

Potato Soup

Mashed potato, size of an egg Small pinch curry-powder Few green celery leaves

A little onion 1 cup milk

Simmer a few minutes and return to fire; add 2 tablespoons cream and the white of 1 egg, beaten slightly. Serve with whipped cream.

Veal Broth

1 scant cup veal stock

2 tablespoons cream

1 cracker rolled fine just before taking from fire

Oyster and clam broth can be made in same manner.
