Lesson Second. How To Clean A Gas-Stove |

1. Lift out the rest at the top.
2. Wash the top of the stove and the rest with a flannel dipped in hot water and soda, so as to remove all grease and dirt; then wring out the flannel, and partially dry the top of the stove.
3. Now cover with stove-blacking, and polish in the same way as the kitchen range.
N. B. - Be careful not to stop up the gas-holes with the stove-polish.
4. Sweep away the soot and dust, and put the rest back over the stove.
