1 medium size can kidney
beans 1 hard-boiled egg 6 small sweet pickles
1 red pimento
1/2 cup diced celery
1/2 cup black walnut meats
Chop pickles and nuts. Mix all ingredients. Marinate in the following dressing for one hour, then serve with mayonnaise. Dressing: Beat together 2 tablespoons vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 4 tablespoons salad oil.
1 cup cooked green beans
1/4 cup cut celery
1/4 cup pimento, cut fine
1 hard cooked egg, diced
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/2 cup salad dressing
6 pieces of lettuce
Mix thoroughly the beans, celery, pimento, egg, salt and paprika. Add the salad dressing and serve on a piece of crisp lettuce.
1 can pineapple
1 bottle maraschino cherries
1 can pimentos
1 large green pepper
1 cup walnuts
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 pint whipping cream
Chop the fruits and nuts. Cream all together. Dissolve two tablespoons gelatine in a little cold water. Add half glass boiling water. When the gelatine starts to stiffen, add the first mixture, pour into a mould and chill in the ice box.
1/2 lb. can tuna fish, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 small onion, cut fine
2 pieces celery, cut fine
4 green olives, cut in pieces
1 hard-boiled egg, cut up in fine pieces
Mix ingredients and add 1 or 2 tablespoons of sour cream. Mix well together and serve on hearts of head lettuce which have been washed, dried and chilled. Serve on slice of tomato.
1 cupful of chopped chicken
1 cupful celery, 1 cupful apples
2 hard-boiled eggs 2 table spoonsful of chopped nuts
Let stand 1/2 hour, then mix with 2 chopped red peppers with mayonnaise dressing. Serve on lettuce.
Drain can of peas
1 cup of peas
4 tablespoons chopped sweet pickle
4 tablespoons chopped onions
4 tablespoons chopped cheese
4 tablespoons chopped hard boiled eggs
Mix with mayonnaise dressing and whipped cream.
Salt to taste.
1/4 pound cheese; put through food chopper with
1/4 cup walnut meats, and
1 chopped pimento.
Fold in 1/2 cup cream beaten until stiff,
2 teaspoons lemon juice,
2 tablespoons green peppers, chopped, and
2 tablespoons celery, chopped. Season with a little salt.
Put into small round mold, previously chilled. Pack in ice and salt for four hours. Slice and serve on lettuce with thousand island dressing.
