One cup of butter, two cups sugar, one cup sweet milk, two-thirds cup corn starch and fill it up with flour, two cups flour, two teaspoons baking powder, whites of seven eggs.
Lucy D. Fake. One cup white sugar and one-half cup butter beaten together, one-half cup starch, the whites of three eggs beaten to a stiff froth, one cup milk, one cup flour, one teaspoon cream tartar, one-half of soda. Flavor with lemon.
