Yolks of eight eggs, and one cup sugar beaten together until light; two cups flour, two teaspoons baking powder; add one cup boiling water last. Bake in two layers. Mrs. C. M. Candy.
Beat two egg whites and yolks separately; add a cup of granulated sugar and beat hard. Now stir in a cup of flour that has been sifted with a teaspoon of baking powder and a little salt and last of all add a half cup of boiling water. Beat hard and bake in an ungreased pan in a moderate oven. Cover the cake for the first few minutes it is in the oven.
Mrs. Parsal.
