"We are glad to see attention given to selecting forms and colors of these popular plants, as there is no reason why there may not be as many kinds with this plant as there are with Cinerarias or other things. Mr. Rupp, of Shiremanstown, Pa., has made special selections, and numbers among his stock the following kinds :
With single flowers - white; dark red, carmine cast; scarlet, or bright crimson; Punctata Elegantissima, velvety crimson, and regularly spotted on the edge with pure white; new spotted, lilac ground, with blotches of white, and spotted with pure white around the edge; Sylvania, white, and distinctly blotched with bright crimson.
With double flowers - dark red, carmine cast; scarlet, or bright crimson; fern leaved, dark red; velvety crimson, spotted around the edge; lilac ground, blotches of white, and spotted on the edge; pure white.
