It does not seem to be understood by some of our readers, that the immense amount of matter contained in our Magazine must take a few weeks to look over and properly arrange, and that afterwards time has to be taken to print, revise, bind and distribute before the readers get it; yet notices of meetings of societies, which we are always glad to receive, are seldom sent to us in time to be of any use. It would be well for correspondents to remember that all matter for the editor ought to be in his hands at least a month before the date of publication.
