As noted in the Gardener's Monthly, last year, a society made up mainly of the members of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, who are interested in agricultural pursuits, was formed with the above title, and which fully expresses the aims and objects of the body. It meets the day before the American Association meets, and in the same place. The second annual meeting was held in Cincinnati, and did good work. Papers were read from Dr. Halsted, J. J. Thomas, Prof. Beal, Prof. Kedzie, Prof. Caldwell, Prof. Bremer, Dr. Sturtevant, and L. B. Arnold. Prof. Beal is president, Dr. Sturtevant, secretary. The next meeting is at Montreal.
