There are few more beautiful plants than the several greenhouse species of Bignonia or Trumpet vine. Bignonia venusta, for instance, is one of the best known and highly appreciated of all winter-flowering plants. Here is another good addition, introduced by Mr. Wm. Bull, of Chelsea, London, who says:
"A free-growing and extremely floriferous plant, of scandent habit, introduced from the United States of Colombia. The flowers, which are produced in large branching panicles, are of great size (about 3½ inches across), and of an exceedingly attractive color, ranging from delicate mauve to rich deep purplish crimson relieved by a conspicuous throat of light primrose color".
