Last April this excellent firm of New Canaan, Conn., had their homestead burned; recently the torch of the incendiary again laid low their magnificent barns, burning up eleven horses and twenty six cows, and all their extensive preparations for fall and spring trade. Besides this loss of trade, they will be out of pocket at least $10,000 in cash, over and above their insurance. As they are not known to have an enemy in the world, the work is believed to be one of sheer depravity, and they have the sympathy of their neighbors and friends everywhere.
