In his Rochester address, Mr. R. Barry well remarked: "I have a pretty good knowledge of the nursery business in this country, for nearly half a century, and I can say that the nurserymen, on the whole, have conducted their business with a degree of enterprise, liberality and skill that entitle them to the admiration and gratitude of the American people. They have filled our land from the Atlantic to the Pacific with the finest fruits. They have scattered broadcast and brought within easy reach of all our people, ornamental shrubs and plants of every description".
