Enteroptosis.—Much relief may be given to patients suffering from the dragging sensation which accompanies prolapse of the contents of the abdomen by the following movement : The patient lies on her back with shoulders low and knees drawn up. The masseuse stands at either side and places both hands with fingers interlaced across the lower part of the abdomen just above the pubes, presses well into the groin with the ulnar borders and into the sides with the base of the hands, holding the part, as it were, in the rather hollowed hands.

The hands are then drawn upwards, making at the same time a kneading movement with the ulnar borders ; the patient breathes deeply, thus helping to draw up the viscera. Repeat several times, with vibrations between.

The masseuse stands so as to face the patient's feet.
