Beddoes relates many instances of chlorosis benefited by inhalations, but other observers have not met with equal success from its use in this malady. I have, however, known it to relieve chlorotic headache. In extreme cases of anaemia the gas is not always well borne; it has seemed sometimes to increase depression for the time, and cause faintness and palpitation.
