A bird somewhat like a turkey, of a dark-gray colo: and with white spots. Its neck is long, and its head has a top-knot, and a fleshy horn on each side. It is noisy and quarrelsome in the farm-yard, but its noise protects poultry from the hawk. Its flesh is a delicacy, and its eggs are valued for their richness.
