Moschatel, the Tuberous, or Adoxa Moschateklina,L. an indigenous perennial plant, growing in damp woods, and shady, places where it flowers in the months of April and May.- The ripe fruit of this low plant has the flavour of Strawberries. The plant itself possesses the odour of musk, for which it may serve as a substitute in, chests, or drawers, among clothes Its root was formerly in repute among the vulnerary herbs.
