As is elsewhere noticed, a payment in bank notes is valid when a legal tender.3 When bank notes are not a legal tender, they will nevertheless constitute, if not objected to, payment; though the creditor may demand currency.4 - When money is sent by post, at the creditor's request, to an address given by him, or if such mode of transmission is the practice between the parties, and the money is lost, this is an adequate payment.5 But the letter must be rightly addressed.6
