Having several buckles without tongues I tried to repair them with pieces of wire, but could not get them to bend short enough to fasten around the buckle frame. Some cotters were at hand and seeing them gave me the idea of using one leg, with the eye part, as a tongue. By using the proper-sized cotter, a substantial and quickly made repair will be the result. - Contributed by Everett Hoar, Bow-manville, Ont.
