Required : Four hard-boiled eggs. Salt and pepper. Three or four tablespoonfuls of white sauce.

Boil the eggs for twenty minutes, shell them, and cut each in half round-ways. Well grease the bag, put in the eggs; then add the white sauce, after seasoning it carefully. Fold and secure the edges; put the bag on a grid in the oven, and let the eggs heat through gently for five or six minutes. Serve on a hot dish, garnished with sippets of toast.
