Milk 2 cups, Bread-crumbs, 1/2 cup, Butter, 2 tablespoons, Onion, 1/2, Cloves, 2, Parsley, 1 sprig, Mace, 1 blade, Salt, 1/2 teaspoon, Paprika, 1/2 teaspoon.
Simmer all the ingredients together except the butter and the bread-crumbs. Strain, return to the fire, add the butter and crumbs, and simmer for 1/2 hour.
