Butter, 1 tablespoon,
Flour, 1 tablespoon,
Hot milk, 1/2 pint,
Onion juice, or lemon juice, 1 teaspoon.
Cream the butter and flour together, and put into them the hot milk. Let it boil for 10 minutes, and then take it off the fire, and stir in the seasoning. It should be strained before serving.
