An interesting Armenian perennial, 6-12 in. high, remarkable for the fading of the blackish-purple spots that decorate the bright-yellow flowers in early summer. It is a good rock plant and is increased by cuttings in sandy soil. Popularly known as the "Prophet Flower ".
