Those who desire to excel in growing these plants should look well after them at this season, when the young plants are well rooted. If they get stunted at first they are not easily recovered. They require very rich soil, and should be regularly repotted as often as the pots get full of roots. Those who do not care for extra nice plants simply set them out in the open ground and carefully lift the plants into pots in the fall. Whatever pinching is done to make plants bushy should be done early. Late pinching makes small flowers.
