There is reason to hope for advantage from the use of bromides in the symptoms of cerebral congestion which point to an apoplectic tendency. Dr. Bastian has remarked that, in such cases, when the heart-action is forcible and frequent, these remedies, conjoined with aconite, are very suitable, and I quite concur in this statement (Lancet, ii., 1874, p. 897).
