This salt is strongly recommended by Sundelin, as an emmenagogue, in those cases in which the disease depends on, or is connected with, inactivity of the Uterus. (Pereira.) Of late years it has been largely given, with satisfactory results, in some of the London Hospitals, in amenorrha arising from functional inactivity.
