Corsican Moss. Nat. Ord. Algae. Hub. the islands of the Mediterranean.
Med. Prop. and Action. Anthelmintic, diuretic, and diaphoretic. It is also very nutritive, containing about 60 per cent. of vegetable mucilage or jelly.
Against Lumbrici or Round Worms, it is stated to be very efficacious, in doses of gr. xx. - gr. cxx. of the powder, with honey. It may also be given in decoction (gr. ccxl. - gr. ccclx. to Aq. Oj.) in doses of n. oz. iss., thrice daily.
Farr; but it appears to be ineffectual.
