Eng., Honey. A saccharine secretion deposited in the honey-comb by the bee, Apis mellifera.
Eng., Clarified Honey.

Honey is contained in some other official preparations.
A pleasant flavor and sweetening agent. A constituent of many cough and laxative preparations, gargles, etc.
Clarified Honey is usually prescribed with other agents in quantities only sufficient to give a pleasant taste.
