Latin,. Moschus
Eng., Musk. The dried secretion from the preputial follicles of Moschus moschiferus. Average Dose.-4 grains (0.25 Gm.).
Eng., Tincture of Musk. Represents 5 per cent. of the drug.
1 fluidrachm (4 mils).
Said to be stimulant and antispasmodic.
Has been recommended in the treatment of hysteria, neurasthenia, hiccough, and certain debilitated conditions. Seldom prescribed.
