Latin, Piper
Eng., Pepper. Synonym, Black Pepper. The dried, unripe fruit of Piper nigrum. Average Dose.-8 grains (0.5 Gm.).
Official Constituent.
Eng., Oleoresin of Pepper. Average Dose.- 1/2 grain (0.03 Gm.).
Carminative, stomachic, irritant.
Sometimes employed with other agents for its stomachic effect.
