2713. Wormwood is a tonic and anthelmintic.
It is used externally as a discutient and antiseptic.
It is used internally in long-standing cases of dyspepsia, in the form of infusion, with or without aromatics. It has also been used in interinittents.
Dose, of the infusion, from one to two ounces, three times a-day; of the powder, from one to two scruples.
