Ratification cannot destroy intervening rights of third persons.1 Thus ratification cannot avoid an intervening chattel mortgage2 or attachment.3 So, an unauthorized assignment was made; the alleged assignee sued on the claim; and subsequently such assignment was ratified. It was held that such ratification could not avail the assignee in that action.4
