Scoparius, Broom. In large doses (f.e., 2 f3) cathartic. In moderate doses (f.e., 30 I.) a valuable diuretic in cardiac dropsy, the anasarca of chronic disease of the kidneys, and scarlatinal albuminuria. See also Sparteime sulphas.
