Viburnum Prunifolium, Black Haw. This valuable drug is the best agent we have for irritable states of the womb in nervous patients, being especially indicated in a chronic disposition to miscarry. Give regularly for six weeks before the time when this event usually occurs. It controls after-pains and promotes uterine involution. Black haw relieves the gastric discomfort following alcoholic indulgence. (F.e. or ec. tr., 10 to 60 I.)
