M. S. One ounce is to be warmed and injected, and allowed to remain 20 minutes.

In chronic cystitis accompanied by a little fever, ammoniacal urine, and charged with mucous, with frequent micturition. Inject at first four ounces of water tepid, which is allowed to run out immediately afterward, then an injection of the third part of the following solution:

The liquid thus injected is maintained some seconds in the bladder, after which two-thirds are allowed to flow out, while the remainder is left for an hour in the urinary reservoir, This injection produces a very slight smarting and after a treatment of some days the urine be comes acid and no longer contains mucous.
