M. S. One teaspoonful every hour until ease from pain and sleep be induced. If vomiting occur, which is almost always an accompaniment, add to the above mixture in place of the croton chloral, bromide of potassium, and a solution of sulphate of morphia for the liquor opii compositus. Should the patient reject everything by the stomach, throw up into the rectum an enema of starch water and a drachm of tincture of opium.
