III. The First (Or Upper Or Supreme) Angle

Formed by the connection of the Lines of Life and Head.

Sharply pointed and well marked -

Relined mind; more generally strong common sense.

The First Angle,

Blunt and short- - Slow, dull intellect; rude instincts.

That goes with a short Line of Head and the various Chirognomical indications, to which I refer the reader.

Exaggerate in its bluntness - Miserly habits from fear of poverty; little concern for other people's welfare.

That bluntness is obtained, in this case, by the Line of Head rising toward the Line of Heart and thus reducing the Quadrangle; hence the reading.

Blunt through the Line of Head being more or less separated From the Line-of Life at the start - Independent dispo sition, amounting (if the space separating the Lines is very wide) to dangerous recklessness.

Exaggerate in its sharpness - Shrewd, malignant, envious disposition.

If this exaggerate sharpness is due to the Lines of Life and Head being connected too long at the -start - Extreme diffidence and even cowardice.

IV. The Second (Or Inner) Angle

Formed by the connection of the Lines of Head and Liver.

The second Angle clear and well marde - Longevity; bright intellect.

Due to the excellence of the Line of Liver.

The second Angle broad and heavy with a poor Line of Heart and a narrow Ouadrangle - Uncharitableness,

The second Angle very sharp - III-health; nervousness; teasing disposition.

The Second Angle obtuse - Ultra nervous disposition.

Due to the Line of Head drooping and the Line of Liver starting on the Mount of the Moon too near the Percussion.

The Second Angle formed on the Mount of the Moon - Catarrh; even epilepsy, or paralysis if the Line of Head is poor and the Mount of the Moon much rayed: or apoplexy if the Line of Heart is poor and the Mount of Saturn starred.

The Second Angle found detective in a child's hand - The child must not be pushed too quick in his, or her, studies; the mental growth will be too quick, especially the imaginative faculties, and physical health will have to be attended to first; in a word: health before studies.
