Mitchella repens. Madder Family. May - June.
Found in woods. Nova Scotia to Gulf of Mexico, westward to Minnesota and Texas.
White, fragrant, in pairs at the tips of the sprays. Berries red, edible.
Rounded, evergreen, in pairs on a trailing plant. Stems, 6 - 12 inches long.
