Are medicines which act as warm temporary stimulants, augmenting the strength and spirits when depressed, and often relieving an animal from the ill-effects of over-exertion.
Powdered caraway seeds, 1/2 to 1 1/2 drachms; ginger, 20 to 40 grains; oil of cloves, 3 to 8 drops. Mix, and give 10 grains for a dose.
Tincture of cardamoms, 1/2 to 1 drachm; sal volatile, 15 to 30 drops ; infusion of gentian, 1/2 to 1 drachm ; camphor mixture, 1 ounce. Mix.
