Irish Setter.

In the leading essentials, this dog is similar to its English brother, the main difference between the two is that the head of the Irish dog is not quite so long in proportion and the occipital bone not so well developed. His eyes, too, are lighter, and show less haw, and his expression, like that of the Irish Water Spaniel and the Irish Terrier, is different to any English variety. In fact it is a characteristic purely Irish expression.
